The Parish Priest while preaching to the congregation and SC Villa encouraged the players to emulate Christiano Ronaldo. Lionel Messi also endeavours building their personal brand in football.

“You should emulate great players such as Christiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi. But in order for this young man in Villa to become great, he does not have to dream to be Ronaldo but rather to be himself because God created only one Ronaldo.  God has created one Patrick Jona Kakande and one Gavin Kizito of Villa therefore they should say they want to be their own brand and this is through a process”

Arnold Odong the calm and intelligent center back expressed his joy for the outreach upon meeting the fans of the club and looks forward to more of such outreaches.

“It was a good experience for us players because we got to meet our fans in Gaba, as club we can’t work alone because we need God in our lives and the entire church. We learnt a lot because church teaches us a lot because football is beyond the pitch. We have managed to mingle with our fans and hope to have more of such engagements in the future”.

Maxim Kaddu the President of Gaba Catholic Provisionals and her team hosted the team for a luncheon at the Parish. They expressed their excitement and promised to get back to supporting the club and also open up a branch of SC Villa Fans.

“SC villa came to visit us in the community of Gaba and that’s a joy for us, I have been a longtime supporter of the club but have been laid back, because of various reasons such as the decline in performance at some point. But the visit has rejuvenated us and some of the members who are supporters of the club have promised to get back, and because of that, we are going to open up a branch of Gaba Catholic community Villa branch then enter Gaba Community”.

The club donated 500.000 thousand shillings to the church and also gifted  the Rev. Father Ssebunya with a SC Villa club replica jersey.
