On Sunday, March 3rd, 2024, the Jogoos are scheduled to visit Kitara FC in the Stanbic Uganda Cup, marking their third encounter this season after two meetings in the Startimes Uganda Premier League.

In their previous visit to Masindi, they managed a 1-1 draw, and SC Villa is eager to secure maximum points tomorrow to progress to the next round of the cup tournament.

Team News:

The SC Villa squad receives a boost with the return of Patrick Kakande, Cyrus Kibande, and Abas Kyeyune from the U20 national team. Additionally, Norman Angufindru and Umaru Lutalo have recovered from their respective injuries and are available for selection.

Skipper Kenneth Semakula shared his thoughts ahead of tomorrow’s match against Kitara, stating,

“We’ve prepared well for the upcoming challenge, and we’re fully ready! Kitara is a formidable team, especially at their home ground with their strong fan base. However, since we’ve faced them before, we’re confident in our ability to handle the pressure. The coaches have provided us with the necessary tactics, and we’re just waiting for the opportunity to step onto the field.”

The game is scheduled to kick off at 4 pm and will not be broadcast live on TV.
