SC VILLA TO RECOGNIZE TOP WOMEN SUPPORTERS IN THE MONTH OF MARCH

As a way of celebrating Women’s Day this year in 2024, SC Villa has taken on the challenge to select and recognize the topmost women Jogoos supporters. The activity of recognition will run for the whole month of March (women’s month).

Talking to the club media, ExCom member Sarah Adong, in charge of women’s affairs, said:

“We are celebrating our gallant Jogoo female fans because of their huge contribution to SC Villa and the sport of football throughout the year. In the past, sports was considered an industry for male gender, but today we have so many female fans supporting, buying club merchandise, and paying matchday entry.”

“Furthermore, the leadership of Hajj. Omar Mandela is very committed to promoting gender equality, and that’s why the club has a female Excom member. This is meant to promote gender equality and accelerate growth. For that matter, the fans of the club nominated several names.”

Some of the women couldn’t hide their joy during interviews from the SC Villa media.

“I am so happy for where the club is so far; it only shows an upward movement. As fans, we’re just excited for the future. I am also glad that I’ve been recognized among the top female supporters, and I cannot keep calm. I will not reduce the support. I thank the sponsors for choosing SC Villa; we will as well keep supporting their products and hope for better performances from the team so they can even give us a bigger sponsorship.” – Zam Nankya

“It’s a good sign from the club leadership on recognizing us (women fans). This is motivation to all the young women fans out there to love and keep supporting the club for the future is brighter. I love the young squad we are having in camp, and I am excited for good performance in the future.” – Lilian Mututa

“I am happy to be part of this great team as a fan for the years. We have had a lot of ups and downs in the recent years, but I am happy that we are back to where we must be. I thank the sponsors in Linglong for joining us for a long-term sponsorship and also the executive for the services – I Love this Mighty Club!” – Deborah Nakamanya

The ladies will be given special treatment on Saturday 9th March during our home game against Express FC. In addition they will be given complementary tickets to the VIP section and after have a light moment with the club leaders.
